FOREWORD
Dear Colleagues,
The XX biennial International Congress
on Thrombosis organized by the Mediterranean League against
Thromboembolic Diseases (MLTD) and the Hellenic society of the MLTD,
held in the city of Athens from 25-28 June 2008, has already
successfully finished. Our congress aimed and achieved to bridge science
and clinical practice, bringing together specialists in Haematology,
Vascular surgery, Angiology, Haemostasis, Vascular Biology, Cardiology,
Neurology, Nephrology, Radiology, Orthopedics, Gynaecology and many
other fields related to Thrombosis.
Some of the papers presented in the
congress were collected to be published in the present Proceedings of
the Congress and I am sure this will be welcome by the scientific
society.
